This room serves as a classroom and lab space on the second floor of McMichael. It has 4 additional Mac computers for student use and seating for 34 people.  

How to Use Room: Base Level Operations

  1. Touch the screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  2. Use the touch screen control to select the desired input (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, Document Camera).
    Laptop/Device inputs (HDMI) are built into the top of the work station.
  3. Turn on the computer by pressing the power button on the back left side.
    The desktop computer in the room is the default computer.
  4. Login with your Elon username and password.
  5. Turn the system off by pressing the System Off button located on the top-right side of the touch screen control.
  6. To power the desktop computer off, hold down the power button on the back left side

1.) Touch Screen Control (Crestron)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Tap the touch screen to turn on the system.
  2. The system will take 30-90 seconds to warm up.
  3. Select the input that you want to display through the projector.
  4. To mute, "Image Mute" or select "Display" then "Image Mute."
  5. To turn the system off, press the power button located on the top right corner of the touch screen.
  6. Select the "YES Shut Down System" button to turn off the system.  

Desktop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Desktop tab on the touch screen.
  2. Turn on the Desktop computer and sign in with your Elon username and password.
  3. When turning off, ensure that both the touch screen and desktop are off

Laptop Instructions

  1. Tap on the Laptop tab on the touch screen.
  2. Plug in your device using the HDMI cable.                                                                                                                                                                                    
  3. Ensure that your device is on.

AirMedia Instructions

This room is equipped with AirMedia. AirMedia is a way to present that allows users to wirelessly connect to the room's audio and visual system (i.e. speakers and projector).

  1. Select the AirMedia button on the touch screen.
  2.  Enter the IP address or the web address into the search bar of your web browser.                                                                                                                    
  3. If you have not already downloaded the AirMedia software, follow the prompts from the website.
  4. When prompted, enter the access code for the room, found on the touch panel controller or the projected screen.

Document Camera Instructions

  1. Select Doc Cam on the touch screen control.

  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.

2.) Desktop (Mac)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the back-left side of the computer.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the system. The system will take 30 seconds to warm up.
  4. Select Desktop from CMPTR to display the desktop on the projector screen.
  5. To power the system off, press the System Off button located on the top-right of the touch screen control.
  6. To turn the computer off, press the power button on the back left side of the computer.

3.) Projector (Canon)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Touch the touch screen control to turn on the projector.
  2. Select the desired input on the projector (Desktop, Laptop, AirMedia, Document Camera).
  3. Touch the Image Mute button on the touch screen control to mute the projector.
  4. Turn the projector off by pressing the System Off button on the top right side of the touch screen control.

4.) Document Camera (Wolfvision)

Basic Operating Instructions

  1. Select the document camera on the touch screen control.
  2. Document camera is ready for use.
  3. Adjustments to zoom or lamp use can be made on the touch screen control.
  4. To turn the system off, press the System Off button located on the top right of the touch screen control or select another input to use.

5.) Student Desktop (Mac) (x4)

  1. Turn on computer by pressing the power button on the back-left side of the computer.
  2. Login with your Elon username and password.
  3. To turn the computer off, press the power button on the back left side of the computer.

Web Camera
