Guides and Training for Microsoft Teams

Step-by-step Guides from Microsoft

Create or Delete a Team

  • Delete a Team - As a best practice, teams should be deleted by owners once the team has met its purpose.
    • NOTE - Teams are deleted with a "soft delete" that IT can reverse for up to 30 days.

  •  Delete a Channel - once you delete a channel, you also lose its entire conversation history. The OneNote sections associated with that channel will still show up on your team's SharePoint site.
    • NOTE - If you prefer to keep the information but no longer see the team in your individual list, hide the team. If you would like to archive a team completely, please submit a ticket.
