Use Canon Printers for Faculty & Staff

The Canon printers/copiers do not have a hole punching capability.

Only labels designed for printers/copiers should be used and not laser jet or inkjet labels. Using laser jet or inkjet labels on a printer/copier could cause the labels to peel off inside of the printer/copier or jam.

How to use Canon Printers

1.) When printing, select the Canon printer and print the job

  • On Macs, the Canon is identified as 'Canon Printer.' On Windows machines, the printer is identified as 'Canon_BW.'

2.) Touch your Phoenix Card to the Blackboard card reader to log in

  3. Print + Keep - This will print and keep the file in your print queue.
  4. Select All - This will select all documents in your print queue (useful for printing multiple files at once).
  5. Refresh - This will refresh your print queue. There is a 10-15 second lag between printing a document and when it shows up in your queue.
  6. Delete - Delete the file from your print queue.
  7. Logout - Log out of the Canon printer/copier. You will be logged out automatically after 2 minutes.
  • Documents are kept in the print queue for 10 hours before being purged from the system. Additionally, since there is a 2-minute window before being logged out, it is recommended you logout when finished.
