Shared Mailbox via Mac Mail

1.) Launch the Mac OS Mail app and navigate to Mail/Add Account

2.) Select 'Other Mail Account...' and click 'Continue'

3.) Fill out the form and click 'Sign In' using the instructions below

  1. Name: Enter the name of your shared mailbox (e.g., sharedmailbox@elon.edu).
  2. Email Address: Enter the name of your shared mailbox (e.g., sharedbmailbox@elon.edu).
  3. Password: Enter YOUR Elon email password.

4.) Fill out the form using the instructions below and click 'Sign In'

  1. Email Address: Enter the name of your shared mailbox (e.g., sharedmailbox@elon.edu).
  2. User Name: Enter your Elon email address/sharedmailbox name (e.g., rgay@elon.edu/sharedmailboxname).
  3. Password: Enter YOUR Elon email password.
  4. Account Type: Select 'IMAP.'
  5. Incoming Mail Server: Type outlook.office365.com.
  6. Outgoing Mail Server: Type smtp.office365.com.

5.) Select what you want synced to your account (Mail and/or Notes) and click 'Done'

6.) Congratulations! Your sharedmailbox is now available in Mac Mail. The account will be labled as 'Elon' by default. You can click the mailbox and changed the description, based on preference.
