Print a Moodle Quiz

There are times when you may need to print a quiz or exam from Moodle. This Knowledge Base article walks you through the steps.

1.) In the top-left side of the header, click the green pencil icon to turn editing on

2.) Navigate to the exam and click the 'Edit' option, then select 'Edit Settings'

3.) Scroll down to the 'Layout' section and change the drop-down menu to 'Never, all questions on one page'. The 'Repaginate now' box should also be checked

4.) Scroll to the bottom of the page and click 'Save and display'

5.)  Click the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner and select the option 'Preview'

  • When the preview begins and the questions are visible on the screen, use your browser’s print options to print the page. For most browsers pressing ctrl + p (cmd + p on a Mac) will load the print menu.
  • Select your printer from the menu, and print as you normally would.

6.) Once you have printed the exam or quiz, you will want to change the layout options back to the original options

7.) Click back on the gear icon in the upper right-hand corner and select 'Edit settings'

8.) Scroll down to the 'Layout' section and change the drop-down menu to 'Every 2 questions'. The 'Repaginate now' box should be checked

9.) Scroll down and click the 'Save and return to course' button
