If a member of faculty or staff require the purchase of a new VoIP desk phone, there will be costs associated with the new equipment and licensing. As such, the appropriate budget code must be included in the request. In some instances, if a faculty or staff member is changing office locations, they may be able to take their current desk phone to that location instead of purchasing a new device.
