Create a Grade History Report in Moodle

Instructors can now track and audit the grade history of a specific student within a Moodle course. The report also gives instructors details of all grade changes that have occurred.

1.) In your Moodle course on the left menu, click on 'Grades'

2.) Select 'Grade history'

3.) Select the student(s) whose grade history you would like to view

  • Click the 'Select users' button.

4.) Check the box to the left of the student(s) you would like to select

  • Click 'Finish selecting users.'

5.) Adjust your report preferences

  1. Grade item: If you would like to look at all grade items for that student, you can leave this option at the default or you can select a specific grade item to look at.
  2. Grader: If you are the only instructor in the course, select your name as the 'Grader'.
  3. Date from and Date to: If you are looking for grades from a specific date, enable these options.
  4. If you would like to look at revised grades only, check this box.
  5. Click the 'Submit' button.

6.) The requested grade history report will display below your search options

  • This report will display when grades were entered, how they were entered, and if the grade is overridden, locked, or excluded from the calculation.
