Advancement Systems

The Office of University Advancement uses systems that help manage data, develop profiles, and communicate with alumni and parents. These systems are primarily used by Advancement in partnership with IT.

Application Development & Support

IT's Enterprise Solutions team offers custom application development to departments and organizations across the university.

Auxiliary Systems

Auxiliary Systems include card services, printing, and transportation.

Colleague

Ellucian Colleague is the University’s integrated administration system (also known as an Enterprise Resource Planning system or ERP), with applications that support Student Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Payroll.

Conference Registrations

Elon holds various conferences and events throughout the year. Conference and event registration forms vary; if the conference or event doesn't require a payment, conference organizers may use a Google form, Qualtrics, or another easy tool to create the registration form. If the conference or event requires payment, organizers must utilize the Conference Registration form.

Elon Account

Faculty, staff, and students are all given an Elon Account used to access Elon email as well as other applications. This account remains active for alumni and retirees.

File Storage & Backups

Elon University offers several file storage and back up solutions for faculty and staff, each with different recommended uses. Whether you're looking to manage documents, automate processes, or easily collaborate on files with colleagues, there are a variety of tools and services to help you streamline tasks and complete projects.

Solutions and recommended uses:
- eDocs is primarily used for sensitive data or file needs for accreditation or auditing.
- OneDrive is recommended for individual work files or files shared with a small group of people from multiple departments or outside Elon University.
- SharePoint Team Sites are recommended for department, committee, or other chartered/ongoing groups for file sharing and collaboration.

Guest Services includes computer-access and WiFi options for Elon guests.

Library Systems

Carol Grotnes Belk Library utilizes EZProxy and OCLC to connect patrons to library networks, databases, and other resources around the world.

Medical & Health Systems

IT supports several medical and health systems in partnership with Student Health Services and the Faculty/Staff Health & Wellness Clinic.

OnTrack

OnTrack is a secure site that provides numerous online services to current and prospective students, faculty, and staff. Students use OnTrack to register for classes, view grades, submit student staff timesheets, and more, while faculty and staff use OnTrack for tracking and reporting leave, viewing pay vouchers, approving time sheets, viewing class schedules, and other position-related functions.

SharePoint
